Questions

Short answers to what schools and parents ask most. Can't find yours? Ask us.

Getting started

Who can set it up?

Anyone at the school: a teacher, office staff, a PTA member or a parent with the school's OK. One person sets it up; everyone else just orders.

How long does setting up take?

You can do it in one sitting, and save and come back at any time. The design and proof are instant once your class list is in.

Is there a minimum order?

10 items per school, in any mix of the garments you offer (for example 6 hoodies and 4 T-shirts).

Is it for primary or secondary schools?

Both, at the same prices. The price goes by size: children's sizes and adult XS from £18 a hoodie, adult S and up from £21.50, because VAT applies to adult sizes.

Do I need to create an account?

Yes, a free one, so your set-up is saved as you go. You can sign up with your email, Google or Facebook.

Can we see a sample first?

Get in touch and we'll help where we can, with sizing information and, at our discretion, samples.

Design and names

Which back designs can we choose?

Twelve, shown on the Designs page. Eleven carry every child's name; one is words only.

Is every child's name printed, even if they don't order?

Yes. The whole class list goes on the back, so nobody is left off.

Do families agree to the names being printed?

Yes. The organiser confirms the school has permission to print every name, and each parent ticks to agree to their child's name (and nickname) being printed when they order.

How do the names get on the design?

Paste in your class list and the tool tidies the names (capitals, stray characters) and lays them out in seconds. It shows you every change so you can check it.

What if a name is long or spelt unusually?

It's printed exactly as you approve it. The tool flags names that need a look, and you can edit any name before approving.

Can we add our school logo?

Yes, on the left chest, printed (+£2.50) or embroidered on hoodies (+£4).

Can we have nicknames?

Yes, if your school turns them on. Each child can have one for £4, within the design's character limit.

Can we put initials on the front?

Yes, each child's initials on the right chest for £2.50.

When do we see a proof?

Straight away. Download it as soon as your design is done, and show your head or the class.

Who checks the names?

You approve the proof, then our team checks every name against your list before anything is made.

Garments, sizes and colours

Which garments can we offer?

Standard, Premium and Contrast hoodies, and T-shirts. You can offer one or several.

What's the difference between the hoodies?

Standard is 280gsm. Premium is heavier and softer at 310gsm with a double-layer hood. Contrast is 310gsm with a hood lined in a second colour.

What sizes are there?

Children's from 3–4 years, adults from XS to 3XL (Premium to 6XL). Many Year 6 children wear adult XS or S.

How do I know which size to pick?

Every garment has a size guide with measurements. Measure one that fits well and compare.

How many colours are there?

12 to 16, depending on the garment.

Do children's hoodies have drawcords?

No. Children's sizes of all our hoodies come without cords, for safety.

How do I wash it?

Inside out at 30°C with a mild detergent. Don't tumble dry, iron over the print or dry clean. Dry flat or on a hanger.

Ordering and paying

How do parents order?

They open your school's page with its code, pick their child's name, choose a size and pay online by card.

Can the school pay instead?

Yes. Choose "school pays" in set-up. When sizes are final we send one invoice, due in 7 days, and making starts once it's paid. You can pay by card, bank transfer or cheque.

Can we use a purchase order number?

Yes, you can add it when you confirm the sizes.

Can staff or spares be added?

Yes, the organiser can add extra garments when the school pays.

Can parents see other children's details?

Only people with your code can open your page. They see the class list to find their child's name, but never anyone else's order, address or payment.

Can the organiser see who has ordered?

Yes, which children have an order and the totals by size, so you can remind families before the closing date.

What happens after the closing date?

The main order closes and we start making. For 8 weeks after that, parents can still place a late order on the same page, for £5 extra per order plus £5.94 postage. Late orders are made every 2 weeks and posted to your home.

Delivery

How long does it take?

About 14 working days once ordering has closed and payment is in. At peak times it can be a day or two longer.

Where do they go?

Free to your school or one address you choose, packed by class. Or your school can choose home delivery at £5.94 per order.

We need them by a date. Can you do it?

Tell us your date in set-up and it shows the latest closing date that works. Most schools close orders between February and April, so hoodies arrive before SATs, the residential trip or the last weeks of term.

Problems, returns and privacy

Can we return them?

They're made to order with your names, so not for a change of mind. If anything is faulty or wrong, tell us and we'll put it right.

What if a name is wrong on the hoodie?

If we've made a mistake, we'll replace the items or refund you. We print exactly what's on the approved proof, so please check every name before approving. If the mistake was on the proof, contact us and we'll do what we can to help.

How do you look after children's names?

Names are only used to make your order, the class list on your page is scrambled so only people with your code can read it, and we delete names three months after delivery. See the privacy policy.
